Message	issue, even when I discharged one in my car (sat for a few months still connected) down to 5v... thought I had killed it, hence I bought another one... as long as you keep them topped up they should be fine, technically they should last longer without charge as they have a lower internal resistance as well... only difference between a blue top and a yellow top is the extra 2 small terminals I think... seems like a lot of bad experiences here with them but mine have been great and I always recommend them if people have the money for them... discharge any battery far enough you will damadge it... I got lucky with mine I think... tooke me a week to charge it up on a power supply, low current trickle charge...
